Delicious Milling is honored to have supported the End Malaria Fundraising Golf Tournament held on August 23, 2025, at the Mazabuka Golf Club in Mazabuka District. Hosted by Zambia Sugar, this event united numerous companies in a collective effort to combat malaria, coinciding with the commemoration of World Mosquito Day 2025.
A highlight of the tournament was the Zambia Malaria Youth Corps celebrating their 3rd anniversary. Established in August 2022, the Youth Corps has been instrumental in advancing Zambia’s malaria elimination agenda. Their active participation in local and national events underscores the vital role of youth in driving malaria control and elimination efforts.
Hon. Garry Nkombo, Member of Parliament for Mazabuka Central, officiated at the event and expressed deep concern over the alarming statistics: approximately 30,000 new malaria cases reported daily in Zambia, resulting in around four to five deaths per day. He emphasized the urgent need for sustained efforts to combat the disease and protect the health and well-being of the population. Hon. Nkombo highlighted that about 80 percent of malaria-related deaths are among pregnant women and infants, who are particularly vulnerable to the disease. He passionately urged all Zambians to join forces in the fight against malaria, with the ultimate goal of making Zambia a completely malaria-free zone.

Delicious Milling’s involvement in this initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to public health and community well-being. We recognize the significance of collaborative efforts in addressing health challenges and are proud to contribute to the fight against malaria in Zambia.
We extend our congratulations to the Zambia Malaria Youth Corps on their 3rd anniversary and commend all participants and organizers for their dedication to this noble cause. Together, we can make significant strides toward a malaria-free Zambia.
